How to cover up dark circles

Hey lovelies, I thought I’d share my concealer routine since most of us suffer from dark circles around the eyes. Dark circles are caused mainly from allergies, lack of sleep, poor diet and it can be hereditary. Seeing that most of us are always interested in a quick fix, I will be sharing a quick step by step way to cover up those dark circles.

STEP 1: CLEANSE AND MOISTURISE

Make sure you cleanse your face from any makeup and dirt. Moisturize your face and eye area (use eye cream) and wait for it to settle in. moisturizing your skin will prevent the concealer from looking cakey.

STEP 2: FOUNDATION (OPTIONAL)

Apply foundation over the entire face to cover up any imperfections. Make sure your foundation suits your skin tone to create a flawless look.

STEP 3: CONCEAL

Dark circles are usually blue or grey in color, so to conceal them you must use a peach or orange concealer. If you have fair skin, you may use a pink concealer and if you have medium to dark skin, you may use peach or orange concealer. Apply the concealer in a triangle below the eye area to cover up dark circles and over the entire eyelid. Make sure you blend the concealer with a brush or beauty blender.

STEP 4: SET

Apply a thin layer of translucent powder to set your concealer to prevent it from creasing. Setting your concealer also makes it last longer throughout the day. If you have dry skin, you can skip this step as it would make your skin around the eyes even more dry.
